Internal Door Sets

A door set is a ‘one stop shop’. It’s a complete door frame set that arrives pre-assembled in one unit. This means you’ll receive everything you need to install a door in a single delivery.

A complete internal door set includes door leaf, door handles, hinges, door stops and door linings. Your set arrives with everything routed out and fitted in place - ready to install into the aperture.

A fire door set comes with everything you usually get in your kit plus intumescent strips pre-fitted in the linings. In addition fire doors are 44mm thick (for FD30) and 54mm (for FD60) as opposed to the 35mm thickness of a standard door set. Your fire door sets are fitted with a different hinge system too.

Everything arrives in one direct delivery. Your internal prehung door set comes in one package and is flat-packed ready to install. Your door set can easily be handled and fit by a couple of people.

We recommend choosing a door set that doesn’t require any complicated systems. With a door set everything comes pre-installed so it just needs to be fixed in place. Prehung door sets can help you achieve record speed with your project as they can usually be installed in around 20 minutes or less. 

The fitting tolerance relates to the gap between the door and the lining. For this range of door sets, this is 2mm on each side. The fitting tolerance is the same for both standard doors and fire doors.

This depends on your specifications. A couple of examples: 

1. If you specify a door set with a pre-finished door in a pre-finished lining, or obtain a bespoke quote for a Colours by XL or Deanta Hue your door set won’t need finishing.

2. If you specify a white primed or unfinished oak door with a white primed or unfinished lining then it’ll require finishing at home.

Before it’s delivered your door set will be assembled and checked as a full working unit. This helps to ensure it’s fully operational and meets the specification and certifications required.
